J. Donald Walters, a disciple of the beloved guru Paramahansa Yogananda and the founder of the Ananda Center, wrote these instrumentals to directly correspond with the sequence of a yoga session. The Indian-inspired music--rendered on sitar, harp, cello, guitar, and keyboards--flows from minimalist warm-ups to more complex moods, but maintains a steady, soothing tempo for almost exactly 60 minutes. This recording is a must-have for yoga teachers and studios, or yogis with a home practice.
