AllMusic Review by

A collaboration of sorts between Edwards and DJ Thomas Bullock, aka "the Mammal," Supergroup -- from its hilarious cover art doubling the pair as a quartet, to its loungy, tongue-in-cheek fusion of sampled beats and twinkling electronics -- fits in somewhere between Skylab and Uwe "Atom Heart" Schmidt's work. Not surprising given Edwards' stated affection for Schmidt's work, as well the fact that Skylab's Matt Ducasse was a near resident toward the end of Edwards' notorious Gardening Club's long reign in San Francisco. But it's Bullock's presence here that probably accounts for the record's bizarre funkiness, the simple but effective, shifting beatwork likely originating among the noted Wicked DJ's fertile crates. "Depechez-vous a la dancefloor...!"
