Palomo takes Mexican regional pop music to the masses with SUFRIRAS. Yet unlike what one would find in traditional Mexican tunes, there are no tales of sitting round and drinking the blues away among the lyrics of SUFRIRAS. Instead, smart and heartfelt words align with a variety of Latin beats and melodies. Although many songs--“Corazon” for example--have the Norteño feel fans want and expect, other tunes such as “No Te Quiero Olvidar” lean more towards a cumbia beat. “Y Sufriras,” the title song, appears twice, including a remix with musical guests La Autoridad de la Siera.
