The Stop & Panic EP features a few different versions of the song from Cirrus' eclectic Back on a Mission album that all scramble the already scrambled acid breakbeat song up in different ways. None of the five remixes stand out as brilliant: Dave Aude handles the short radio-friendly edit, DJ Dan lays down a syncopated foundation of funky beats for the song, Paul Grogan's Coffee Boys remix shuffles around the song's breakbeats, Micro installs some peaks and valleys, and Deepsky sets the song on a linear yet progressive course. None of the remixes do anything too drastic, leaving each version with the song's trademark riffs and computerized utterance of the song title. Unless you yearn to listen to 40 minutes of the song's same riff and vocal sample laid across a slowly changing landscape of breakbeats, then there is really no need to bother with this record.
