Another strong impressionistic effort by an unsung solo piano artist who deserves more recognition. This collection is a musical reflection of her growth as seen through the vision of a "Stone Cottage" with a wild garden. Inside are the books, music, and art she loves, along with the people who have made her journey so interesting. Not surprisingly, the music is a little darker, more minor key than on her previous effort, Jarrell's Cove. There's a definite melancholy tinge to "Blue," but some redemption to joy in the daring "Over the Garden Wall," which allows a few shafts of light in the picture. Produced by Michael Gettel, whose own masterful new age catalog features brilliant solo piano work alongside ensemble fusion.
