AllMusic Review by

The first independent band to release a disc with DTS 5.1 Digital Surround Sound, the Gluey Brothers are essentially a duo of vocalists, King Hummus and M.C. Tahina, who rap, sing, and/or scream in front of several backing musicians. The New Mexico troupe gets compared a lot to the Beastie Boys circa Licensed to Ill, probably because of the silly rhymes that punctuate the disc. The music is banal frat-boy rock at its most generic, running the gambit of ska, rap, and rock, and is best listened to in an environment where parties are defined by how many kegs get emptied and belching is an art.
