AllMusic Review by

While most shoegaze revival bands of the early ‘00s aped genre inventors My Bloody Valentine solely, Stockholm’s Blackstrap upped the ante by marrying MBV’s miasmic sonics with the danceable thrust and pop sensibility of HONEY’S DEAD-era Jesus and Mary Chain. Their second full-length, STEAL MY HORSES AND RUN, is an intoxicating sonic absinthe shot that argues emphatically that loud, pulsing guitars are still the best way for an audience to lose its collective mind.
