AllMusic Review by

Sho-nuff may have been the best of all the Southern soul and funk ensembles that have emerged on Malaco in the late '70s and '80s. They were once on Stax and briefly seemed as if they would recreate some of the excitement that The Bar-Kays had generated. This was their first full album for Malaco. It had some nice group vocals, decent production, and a couple of strong soul ballads, but never managed to generate anything other than a mild buzz among Southern soul fans.
