AllMusic Review by

The main reason to acquire this LP (which contains 1920s recordings originating in St. Louis) is for the four hot titles by cornetist Dewey Jackson; also worthwhile are the two songs from Jesse Stone's Blue Serenaders. However most of the music on side one (from Bertha Henderson, the Searcy Trio, Powell's Jazz Monarchs and Missouri Anderson) is quite a bit more primitive and erratic. This will be a difficult album to locate.
