AllMusic Review by

Advanced Brain Technologies' Music for Productivity is part of their Sound Health Series, a collection of albums of classical music designed with the help of the Center for Psychoacoustic Research and performed by members of the Arcangelos Chamber Ensemble. As its title suggests, Music for Productivity features mentally stimulating classical pieces by Bach, Telemann, and Richard Lawrence; highlights include Lawrence's "Sunny Days" and "Tumbling Brook From California Suite," Bach's "Variation on Air," Vivaldi's "Concerto for Two Trumpets in Bb," and Tartini's "Variation on Andante From Sonata in G." The intimate performances by the Arcangelos Chamber Ensemble emphasize the beauty of the melodies and are also a nice change from other classical lifestyle collections, which tend to focus on orchestral renditions. Music for Productivity is an ideal collection for someone looking for thoughtful, lively classical music as a backdrop for studying, working, and other thought-intensive activities.
