Knacker's first full-length release contains some of the same tracks from their self-titled debut EP. But, they're reworked and remastered to attain an edgier quality. "Guitar Teacher," "Come Over," and "Rhonda" are decidedly more aggressive than when first recorded, by being vocally stronger and melodically defiant. Producer Krisjan Leslie instills the expertise to enable Knacker to reach beyond simple noise pop to achieve a full range of emotionally direct and dynamic music. Snapshot plays like Oasis meets the Beatles meets Squeeze. The songs are jaunty, driven, guitar oriented and infectious. Petey Komet's singing voice has never been as confident or as powerful as it is on the energetic "Supercandy" and on the assertive "Yesterday's News." Compelling drum solos and harmonies that snap, crackle, and pop complete this package of bold and buoyant songs from this always original Ontario trio.
