AllMusic Review by

Expressing themselves in such a genuine, heartfelt way, Happy Pills come all the way from Poland to bring to the music world the most pure of pristine glitter pop. With slashing guitars set up for jangly choruses and uplifting vocal statements, and the forceful ricocheting of percussion and drums, Happy Pills create Smile, a statement of tart pop with traits of enthusiasm, exuberance, and stargazing charm. The band is fronted by quite an energetic lead vocalist named Agi, who raves in the songs about nature, Sundays, and Belgian waffles. The melody "Belgian Waffles" delves its feet into ethereal, space-like astronomical waters, expressed with echoed percussion and jangly guitar swirls. "Sweet and Sour" provides the warmth and texture of perked-up insomniac coffee rock, with both the sweet and sour meshed in the meal. Smile is the perfect record for finding a source of inspiration, and feeling good about one's lifestyle. Because of the quality and character of this album, the listener should sit back, listen, and simply smile.
