Slowdance Review

by Sean Carruthers

For the second full-length album, Blurton and company polish off a lot of the edges, coming up with an oddly incongruous, rock-oriented album. Listening to it carefully, you can tell that there is an edge in there, but somewhere along the line the production has buried most of it. It's not that it's bad; some of the songs here are as good as any on other Change of Heart records. Completists will consider this release an interesting document, but it's not compelling enough for the casual fan to spend the time it would take to track it down in the used bins.
