This is exactly what it says it is: Cuban jazz set to a ska beat. Yeska, out of Los Angeles and previously heard on the anthologies Puro Eskanol, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, has the technical chops and the heart to pull it off. The rhythms are unrelenting but never bombastic, and the arrangements swing: this is incredibly high-energy salsa, enjoyable for listening and for dancing.
