Tiger's first American release Shining in the Wood is an eight-song EP featuring their rare first single, plus the B-sides from the "Race" and "My Puppet Pal" singles. Although it is missing some of the band's best songs, Shining in the Wood nevertheless is arguably more effective than the full-length We Are Puppets, since it captures both their energy and their eclecticism, which was sometimes obscured on the debut. Besides, several of these B-sides, including the spectacular "I Am In Love With RAF Nurse," far outshine cuts on the second half of the album, making it more than just an EP for hardcore fans.
