She's Got a Gun/Paranoia

This disc is not a debut LP, as it combines two limited-edition vinyl EPs onto a single CD. Half of the New York Rel-X are chicks, but make no mistake, vocalist Erika and bassist Adi could probably break you in half. Not that the bandmembers are thugs; they actually play rousing old-school punk rock with anthemic, enigmatic, and melodic vocals that stand out above all else, à la the Avengers, whose "Open Your Eyes" Rel-X covers here, nearly indiscernibly from the band's own material. However, the obvious passion the bandmembers have would make them not ones you'd want to trifle with if you were smart.
