AllMusic Review by

The inaugural release on the Dark Beloved Cloud label succinctly captures the sweeping scope of the Sebadoh experience over the course of just three songs -- Lou Barlow's "Toledo" is a trademark exercise in emotional and sonic apathy, Eric Gaffney's wonky instrumental "Gondwanaland/No Compass" seems to emanate from warped vinyl, and the improvised "Pete" revels in sludge like a pig in sh*t. (Yes, these are all compliments.) Azalia Snail's "St. Nowhere" occupies the flip side -- her eccentric psych-folk was at least a decade ahead of its time, and remains compelling and unique by any temporal standards.
