AllMusic Review by

This was one of trumpeter Bob Scobey's final records (he died in 1963) and, although none of his sidemen (drummer Dave Black was the best known) would ever become famous (singer-banjoist Clancy Hayes had recently departed), they play together quite well. Other than "Misty" (an off-the-wall choice for a Scobey ballad feature) and the basic original "Drummer's Blues," all of the songs are common Dixieland standards. Nothing that surprising occurs, but the music should please Dixieland fans.
