AllMusic Review by

Strutting Dutch headbangers Vengeance trade in the kind of classic Euro-metal that made the Scorpions millionaires for their entire swaggering existence, yet they never broke through like their better-known German counterparts. Their new “best of” live album, SAME/SAME… BUT DIFFERENT comes on the heels of a triumphant comeback tour featuring an invigorated, classic lineup, including Wildman singer Leon Goewie. The nine carefully recorded tracks find the band in finely burnished metal shape, with twin-guitar party epics like “Bad Boy for Love” and “Rock’n Roll Shower” bringing back the halcyon days of wearing your denim frayed and your hair teased.
