This ill-advised Saxon compilation (just one of many suddenly hitting the streets for no apparent reason) kicks off with what has to be one of the least representative songs ever recorded by the band, the unusually progressive and synth-laden "The Eagle Has Landed." Not a good sign... And sure enough, dubious song selection remains the order of the day, with quasi-flops like "We Came Here to Rock," "Just Let Me Rock," Christopher Cross' "Ride Like the Wind," and "Northern Lady" producing groan after groan. Honestly, "And the Bands Played On" and "Denim and Leather" are the only unquestionable classics featured here; the rest barely qualifies as a third- or fourth-string lineup.
