Rock & Roll Classics gathers a mixture of hits, B-sides, and album cuts from early rock artists including Little Richard, Duane Eddy, and Gene Vincent. The disc collects material recorded mainly in the late '50s with an occasional tune from the '60s, including Bobby Darin's "If I Were a Carpenter" and Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." Tracks like Fats Domino's "Ain't That a Shame" and "Blueberry Hill," Jerry Lee Lewis' "No Headstone on My Grave," and Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen" are a few of the collection's other highlights.
