There is an overwhelmingly present absurdity on the Decepticonz debut album Robot Rock. Despite the fact that most of the songs sound alike and the horn arrangements often quote simple tunes such as "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," this album's wacky brand of punk/ska is rather entertaining. Songs (when you can make out the lyrics) tend to be making fun of high-school jocks, as is the case with "Jockman" and "90 to 10." Others, like "Big Phat Boutee," focus on their strange views of relationships. There is even a track about "the coolest guy in the world," "Gary Flavowski." If one does not attempt to figure out what was going on in the Decepticonz' minds when they put this album together, then Robot Rock is a great addition to any punk/ska collection.
