Relentessly Cheerful Review

by Matt Borghi

Bozo Allegro's Relentlessly Cheerful is a very, very fresh recording, both in timbre and in composition. The ensemble works very well together, both in the woodwind section and with the rest of the band. Bozo Allegro's Relentlessly Cheerful is very tight and springs to life with each track. It actually sounds quite a bit like Frank Zappa's horn and wind ensemble from The Grand Wazoo and Waka Jawaka sessions coming back together for one last hoorah. This is an excellent and lively recording, one that breathes freshness and life. If you're looking for a recording with lots of saxophone and other wind and horn instruments, then this is certainly the record for you. Bozo Allegro's Relentlessly Cheerful is thoughtfully dynamic and thrilling. You can do no better than to get out and check this record out. This is a fine recording.
