The first volume of the series dedicated to reflecting the music spun at Paris’ upscale Hôtel Costes by resident DJ Stéphane Pompougnac, France et Choiseul emphasizes contemporary low-key dance music (lush, downtempo house and trip-hop) while cleverly incorporating the occasional older classic, like Grace Jones' “I’ve Seen That Face Before (Libertango).” Some of the bigger names who appear here include Nitin Sawnhey (“Migration”), <<rinôçérôse>> (“Machine Pour les Oreilles”), and Ballistic Brothers (“Cubafro con Amigos”).
