Clocking it at only 44 minutes, this ten-song collection (released in 1988) is skimpy by CD standards. However, the material it does contain is first rate. Most reggae fans are more than familiar with five-star classics like "Concrete Jungle," "Stir It Up," "Duppy Conqueror" and "Kinky Reggae" -- all of which are essential listening for even the most casual reggae fans. Another problem with this CD is the poor sound quality -- a much better job of digital remastering could have easily have been done with these gems, and in fact, it has on Island CDs containing Marley material from that period. The sound quality becomes even more disappointing when one considers how high DCC's standards usually are.
