AllMusic Review by

Obscure New Zealand recluse Clinton Williams as Omit produces highly developed electronic music. This four-CD collection maps some years of his activities using analog tape and primitive electronics to produce sophisticated sound environments, elaborate compositions made from field recordings, and environmental noise. The dark ambience is somewhat similar to Nurse With Wound, and the D.I.Y. ethos gives these recordings a character that is unique; while the influence of academic electronic music, Brian Eno, and noise music is apparent, Omit is personal music developed in a unique fashion, outside of trends and formulas. Those familiar with the noise aesthetic of the Corpus Hermeticum label may be surprised to hear such delicate music coming from their roster, but seeing that they assembled such a large collection of work is an indication of the quality and commitment to exploration coming from the underground.
