AllMusic Review by

Named after the group of Algerian workers who migrated to France during the second half of the 20th century, Zoufris Maracas, aka childhood friends Vincent and Micho, introduced the world to their eclectic blend of gypsy swing, zouk, Afro-beat, and Cuban music with their 2012 debut album, Prison Doree. Inspired by both legendary French chanteurs Georges Brassens and Jacques Brel, and contemporary world music artists Manu Chao and Mathieu Boogaerts, its 15 socially-conscious poetic tracks include the single "Et Ta Mere."
