Since POST is arguably Bjork's most dynamic and eclectic record, it's no surprise that these live versions of the album's songs follow suit with engaging arrangements that play to the Icelandic singer/songwriter's strengths. Recorded during concert performances in 1996 and '97, POST LIVE features Bjork easing into the hushed lull of "Headphones" before exuding energy on the fierce, foreboding "Army of Me." As always, Bjork's remarkable voice is constantly at the fore, conveying romantic desperation on "Hyperballad" and gleeful abandon on "Enjoy." Mixed in with POST's tunes are songs from DEBUT and the excellent electro-laden rarity "I Go Humble," filling out a solid collection that displays the charming diva in fine form.
