AllMusic Review by

Sweden's Yesterday Girl Records waited until Vol. 4 of its Pop Greetings series to tackle its home turf, but it's dappled with the same sunny pop that filled the California, Minnesota, and Illinois volumes. Of the 12 tracks, only Venue, whose Mmhm! was released through the Cocteau Twins' Bella Union label in 2002, has any real name recognition. But this isn't a bad collection by any means. Carnation's "Song for You" is a lost Bandwagonesque B-side, while the Spyders channel the gritty pop of Supergrass. The Beatles and Kinks references fly fast and furious throughout the collection (one band is even called the Mop Tops), but there really isn't a weak track in the bunch.
