AllMusic Review by

Wonderfully lyrical, this release relies on the sensitive vocals of Zé Renato and Litto Nebbia, backed by the sometimes surprisingly economical guitar of Victor Biglione, mainly in an acoustic setting. There are classics by Turma da Esquina, like the poetic "Manoel o Audaz" (Toninho Horta/Fernando Brant), the energetic/rhythmic instrumental "Fé Cega (Faca Amolada)" (Milton Nascimento), the delicate dialogue of "Mistérios" (Joyce/Maurício Maestro), with a longing bandoneon by Nestor Marconi, and "Toada" (Zé Renato/Cláudio Nucci/Juca), this one a big hit by Boca Livre. Meanwhile, Nebbia's compositions "Erase Una Vez en 1992...," "Polichinila," and "Tatuajes de Minu" provide an adequate supplement to a release that should appeal to all those who enjoy the Boca Livre vocal style with an atmosphere of subtle acoustic guitars and other instruments.
