AllMusic Review by

Apart from the gleefully deranged mini-masterpiece of absurdity "Ca Plane Pour Moi" and a cover of Peter Schilling's spacy "Major Tom," Plastic Hits consists of comical, frequently annoying European regurgitation of new wave rock that only occasionally places tongue in cheek. The sound is largely the same, and the simple choruses are usually repeated ad nauseum. That said, songs like "Hula Hoop," "Super Cool," and "C'est le Rock and Roll" (a ripoff of the Four Seasons' "Walk Like a Man") do have a certain dopey charm for those fascinated by trashy, formulaic imitations of American culture.
