Signed to Voodoo Glow Skulls frontman Frank Cassillas' new label, this Riverside, CA, trio plays an aggressive, up-tempo blend of classic three-chord punk and fast 'n' furious thrash-rock. Providing an adrenaline rush fueled by testosterone, this type of music is perfectly suited for an X-Games soundtrack, with in-your-face riffs and rapid-fire rhythms that drive the listener's energy levels into the red, inciting mosh pits, high-speed driving, or brash displays of machismo, depending on the setting in which they're heard. The lyrics are utterly forgettable and best not repeated, and the chord progressions are not gonna win any awards for songwriting originality, but the in-your-face grooves do exert a peculiarly powerful influence over your mood. Drummer Mario Garcia's complex double-bass rhythms go a long way toward making up for the lack of memorable hooks, but Out of Sight, Out of Mind is still not something most people over the age of 18 would wanna listen to on a regular basis.
