AllMusic Review by

A beyond generous helping of music from Poland's Varius Manx shows up on this very classy DVD, Ona Ma Sile. Beautifully packaged, the material overwhelms -- so much music, so many sublime visuals, and some of it in a language foreign to the American market that Music Video Distributors reaches. "Zanim Zrozumiesz" is as hard to say as it is to understand for those who do not speak Polish, and the hazy blue pseudo live video clip would make a fun diversion at a party full of bachelor pad music fans, people willing to hear something beautiful that is far out of the mainstream. The video of "The Gardener," sung in English, is stunning and visually exciting, with superb use of vibrant colors. The six commercial music videos are particular fun for the uninitiated, "Kiedy Mnie Malujesz" with apples slowly flying through the air over the band, but a message that won't resonate with those who don't understand the language. An excellent song entitled "Sonny" (not the Bobby Hebb classic) also has lots of charm. An eight-page bio is included on the DVD in both English and Polish, along with desktop images, a discography, and website links, and a succinct four-page booklet with tiny type is included in the plastic case -- all of which make this DVD package truly "fully loaded." Three different vocalists are featured on the range of material, which spans the group's career. Without hit records in the U.S., it will be hard for viewers to figure out who Anita Lipnicka, Kasia Stankiewicz, and Monika Kuszynska are on this superb variety of sound and vision, but that gives the individual a chance to jump into this collection with total objectivity and discover what is most appealing.
