AllMusic Review by

Trombonist Jack Teagarden spent most of the 1934-38 period buried in Paul Whiteman's Orchestra but Whiteman was wise enough to feature "Mr. T" from time to time. This Sandy Hook LP contains 16 rare performances, all radio airchecks from 1936 and 1938 that put the emphasis on Teagarden's trombone and vocals. Quite a few of the songs are then-current pop tunes but Teagarden's playing is of a consistent high quality and there are many enjoyable moments.
