The music on this LP has been reissued in Nessa's limited edition multi-CD box set which traces the beginnings of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. Trumpeter Bowie meets up with bassist Malachi Favors and Roscoe Mitchell, who is heard on alto, soprano, flute, clarinet and miscellaneous instruments; Joseph Jarman joins the trio on the second selection, playing alto, soprano, clarinet, bassoon and bells. The pretty spontaneous music often wanders and rambles a bit, reaching some surprising conclusions and showing expert use of space; very advanced for 1967.
