New World Brazil is an attempt to showcase all the exploding talent in Rio and other locales in Brazil that are making new electronic music and using everything from samba and tropicalia to create a battery of sounds that translate to the club dancefloor as well as to the listener Among the standouts on this ten-cut set are "Samba No Pe" by Gallo. with its snagged chorus from Sergio Mendes' "Mais Que Nada," a beautiful pop of Corciolli's "Agua Do Mar," and Mônica Solden's "Hypnotically Beautiful," which combines samba, jazz, and electronica. This is a winner for the price, a solid comp with gorgeous grooves.
