AllMusic Review by

This is the second is a series of split recordings from Backroad Records featuring an artist from Indiana paired with one from elsewhere. There's not a whole lot of music here, but both bands show potential. Song of Zarathustra, a band from Minneapolis, fires off some raging hardcore and their three songs rock solidly. A little bit weirder is Racebannon from the college town of Bloomington, IN. They are more chaotic and recall Blood Brothers, though their music is slightly easier on the ears. They deliver a couple of mellow soundscapes, "Waltz of El Diablo, Part I and II," and a couple of spastic, freak-out hardcore numbers in "Satan's Kickin' Yr Dick In, Part IV and V." Both bands are worth a listen and are probably more interesting live.
