AllMusic Review by

This early documentation of Japan's underground psychedelic folk group dates from 1981 and is prime evidence of the forward-thinking avant-garde scene of Tokyo -- if a little faltered in the fidelity of this mixture of live recordings. Their dreamy pop and experimental tendencies are accredited to the extraordinary talents of vocalist Che Mukai, who has appeared in many contexts within the Japanese underground. Avant-pop group Maher Shalal Hash Baz also sprang out of this group, whose sound at this point is close to the early records of Cocteau Twins and is similarly inspired by British folk as it is psychedelia. Another stunning recording of the early stages of the Japanese psychedelic revival that later in the '90s would bear exceptional groups such as Ghost, White Heaven, and Nagisa Ni Te.
