Funny how sometimes there are very good albums that happen to be quite unknown -- Naïve is definitely one of them. Noise rock edging into math rock, the music of the Bumblebees cannot be labeled as simply as that, and the tracks are of the kind that need time to be fully appreciated. That is probably why the album has not received much media promotion, but the French band reportedly did not even get the disc distributed and sold in stores, so that could explain why only a few people have heard of it. Regardless, when taking time to get into the disc, one will discover heavy syncopated guitars and loud music alternated with calm passages. Influenced by a certain American wave, the band nevertheless displays a special touch. What is it? Their music is hard to define precisely, but when you hear it, you can't help but remark, "Hey, that's the Bumblebees!"
