Though its cover art and liner notes would have you thinking otherwise, Nature's Balance: Snowfalls contains no field recordings of flakes whispering through crisp green pine. Instead, it's a pretty standard set of ambient music, certainly relaxing in its own way but having little to do with snow or even nature. Highlights include "Auksalak," where a keyboard flanges over what sounds like static, as well as "Powder"'s contemplative mood over subtle percussion triggers.
