AllMusic Review by Will Grega

This new CD celebrates the first published and recorded collection of Harwood & Mero songs, 1930-1995.

June 1995 saw Tom Wilson Weinberg's Carnegie Hall premier of his mini-musical based on the lives of the lovers who shared over 60 years together.

On the CD, Gean Harwood performs all of the forty songs at the piano. Most are romantic ballads, lovely and melodic, with a decidedly old-fashioned quality. The two hours of music were recorded over two evenings at the legendary Troy Music Hall on a Steinway concert grand piano. The songs proceed chronologically from the duo's many collaborations in the 1930s right up to the present day. Harwood performed his compositions spanning six decades entirely from memory.
