A particularly nice entry in this series from Silva Screen. The COPP is in fine form throughout, giving energetic performances of cues and suites from such films as The Hunt for Red October, Russia House and Marnie (a particularly nice performance), before getting down to the business of working through a variety of pieces drawn from Connery's collection of Bond films -- including a cue from Michael Legrande's score for Never Say Never Again. The recording, mixing and mastering is spot on, and the use of Dolby Surround is a nice touch. While it's generally the best idea to obtain the original recordings of motion picture scores, albums such as these have their place, even for collectors and score aficionados.
