Movin' On is a rather bland mixture of ska, punk, and hardcore, never really accomplishing anything as it stubbornly careens through 13 forgettable tracks. While the band had the chance to work with emocore mastermind Sal Villanueva (who also produced albums from Thursday and Taking Back Sunday), the invigorating passion found in the latter two groups is vacant on this outing. Not even Villanueva's flair for emotive bravado saves Spitvalves from stumbling repeatedly on such tracks as "Your Loss" and "Love the Kids." There is growth shown since the release of Fine Print at the Bottom, yet Spitvalves still have not conquered the massive pinnacle holding them back: themselves.
