At his best, Tommy James combined smooth popcraft with a loose, garage feel to generate impossibly infectious songs that sounded pretty darn good coming out of a car radio speaker as one cruised down the road on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, those guilty pleasures like "Hanky Panky" aren't collected here, and to make matters worse, the lesser-known sides that are here are re-recordings rather than the original versions. The final insult is the inclusion of a totally unnecessary dance mix of "Mony Mony." Stick with James' earlier material, and make sure you get the original versions, as well.
