Memory Ground is a serene live album from Lights in a Fat City. The new age-leaning brand of ambient electronica incorporates haunting motifs from world music. The didgeridoo and "animal horns" from Stephen Kent contributes the signature exotic sound to these dreamscapes. Kent is a foremost exponent of the didgeridoo in contemporary music. Beside solo work, he also collaborates with Trance Mission and Beasts of Paradise. Minimalist, shrinking world percussion is courtesy another member of the trio, Eddy Sayer. Sayer also performs in the London Balinese Ceremony Group. Subtle tone coloring from Western brass instruments is courtesy of modern-day gamelan advocate Kenneth Newby (Cymbali, Kyai Madu, Trance Mission).
