AllMusic Review by

As the production team of the band and Tom Bailey remain, Magic Line can only come up with more of the same as Stellar's predecessor. Differences occur in the better sequencing and the efforts to include more up-tempo pieces. The defining element is a more live feel, particularly in the drums. The best bits are at the front on "Are You Waiting" and "All It Takes," and at the end on the dusky "If I Could" and "One More Day," which has some great wording: "Some say they wouldn't be dead for quits/I agree but I'm dead on my feet instead." New terrain is mapped in between, as on "Taken," with its rippling electronics and filigreed guitar work.
