It's amazing how close Lucky Tiger comes to sounding like Sleater-Kinney without actually being Sleater-Kinney. Lots of choppy guitar riffs that fly in two different directions without any use for a bassist, lots of dual overlapping vocals, and the singer does her best Corin Tucker impression -- right down to the wails. The flip side of The Pill has an original set of Casio keyboards, a bass, drums, and dual male/female vocalists. A nice experimental setup that isn't as catchy as Lucky Tiger, but just as listenable, considering that the Pill spent more than a nickel on their recording budget.
