AllMusic Review by

Fans of Sandra Collins' later releases may have been surprised when they worked their way back to her first mix album. Lost in Time had neither the slow, worked-up, warm embrace of Tranceport, Vol. 3 nor Cream's dry, expansive, progressive tenor. In 1997, Collins was more tangentially focused on the cheap synths of tracks like NBG's "Forerunner" and the shifty ideas of pre-trance American techno, and expressed herself with discreet energy and uneven offerings, except for Destiny Angel's gently syncopated "You Take Me Higher (Elevate)."
