AllMusic Review by

Lost & Found in the Sixties (Songs You Never Forget) is an enjoyable but unspectacular 20-song compilation featuring hits by the original artists recorded in the '60s. The title is a misnomer. These songs were never lost; they have been heard in movies, TV, and of course radio since they were initially released. The only two tracks that could be considered "lost & found" are "I'll Never Get Over You" by Johnny Kidd & the Pirates and "See See Rider" by Eric Burdon & the Animals. The remaining 18 tracks consist of pop classics like "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens, "Spooky" by Classics IV, "Gimme Some Lovin'" by the Spencer Davis Group, "Happy Together" by the Turtles, and "Somebody to Love" by Jefferson Airplane. These are great songs, but definitely not lost and found.
