Originally released as the live half of the Act 3 archive collection, Live in '82 was recorded in concert (in Stafford, England) during the band's final U.K. tour. Teetering on the very eve of combustion, but still keen to introduce their audience to the material intended for their second album, it's a powerful set, with the tensions tearing the group apart perhaps playing their own starring role in the strength of the performance. In the event that the long-awaited second LP was never completed, the best of its contents traveled onto Kirk Brandon's next project, Spear of Destiny. But "Grapes of Wrath" and "Flying Scotsman" both make heart-stoppingly evocative appearances here, to pinpoint this disc among the most vital of all Theatre of Hate live recordings.
